On the other hand, Kobe dropped 81 against modern basketball players who are tall and black . Getting double, triple teamed from left to right. Going hard in the mother fken paint, making it rain from the 3s, hitting 5 Feet shots with eyes closed

the most blunt and obvious form of stat padding ever seen..

it was Wilt's least favorite game due to how embarrassing of fashion the game was played..

Kobe could have had 5+ 80 point games if he had that mentality, there are over 5 times where Kobe had 50+ points before entering the 4th.. Not even GOAT MJ did that one time..

and kobe had alllllllllllot less chances to go for 80+ than wilt did

kobe usually got yanked for the 4th quarter in the few times he was on pace or had the shots to go for it


wilt on the other hand had the shots every single game for multiple seasons

Down 15 at halftime and getting their butts kicked. Believe it or not, most of his 81 points came within the flow of the game. Sure, when there were only a few minutes left, he kind of went for it but before that, his team needed the points. And that's what makes thus so special because it just happened. Not like Kobe was looking to score 81.
