    Default FIBA ball

Anyone have the GL7 ball? I have read reviews that it feels like an outside plastic ball. Wanted to confirm before I dropped 70 on it. I like the looks, but if it doesn't feel like a good ball, not worth it.

I don't have it, but I was watching an olympic exhibition game, and they were talking about how its a bit slicker than the regular NBA/NCAA ones.

I don't know which molten ball i used, but a local gym near me has them. and from what i have experienced with them, they were really good. i remember the grip being very good.

hey mate, I own one of the FIBA balls. Yeah they're a bit slicker, but it such a imaculate ball to play with and shoot around in, even at games its pretty smooth. Great ball, but it all depends on what your used to and what you like.

Thanks guys. Was looking at the GL7, I haven't found a composite ball that didn't have great grip, so just surprised that this one had got the reviews it did.

Thanks, I ended up ordering the GL7, which is supposed to be the genuine leather, not composite... When I get it, I'll post my thoughts on it, if anyone cares.

Got the GL7 today. I agree with reviews I have seen on other sites that it does feel/look a little "cheap". Hopefully I'll get to the hardwood in the next couple days to check out the bounce and feel.

The GF7 that I have took about a week to get use to and it seems to be softer than alot of the other ones.

I've had it for over 2 yrs now using it 3 to 4 nights a week and it still feels good on the court.

thought i would mention. The GF7 and GL7 are 2 different balls. In game they use the GL7 which is the leather ball. Personally i wouldnt buy it, you should get the GF7 since its composite and will be great from from the first time you play til the last.
