Where's the adjustment made for early season chemistry issues?

Or do they expect the team to dominate from the get go. The Heat certainly didn't.

That's way too high, but all Vegas does is reflect gambling trends. This just means a lot of people are putting a lot of money on the Cavs. It's not an actual prediction.

What about the Heat? Could still win ~50 games if things go smoothly

i'd take the over. all though i'm too damn impatient to make a year long bet.

this Cavs team will be a much better regular season team than the Heat, especially in the East.

I think that's fairly accurate, maybe +/- 2 wins. 56-59 games is a lot, but not A LOT. It's the kind of win total that elite teams that aren't guaranteed champions have.

2011 heat were really shitty outside the big 3.

Not to mention Wade-Bosh-Lebron isnt as good as a fit as Irving-Lebron-Love

In their entire history, they've never won that many games in a season before. I wouldn't call that "ez" by any stretch of the imagination.

Wouldn't say it's easy, but if their healthy, it's attainable. They've got be focused out of the gate.lasdon't think they start off as badly as thet have the last few seasons.

    Ok.

But when you line them up to their direct competition in the east that year?

They were expected before the season to dominate from the getgo and I think it was chemistry related.

We might still disagree on this, but I still do think Cavs will have some teething problems. There's a lot of mouths to feed. Waiters will have to swallow a bigger humble pill than before.

I think Love is going to have injury issues and the defense will be an issue. If they were in the west that is a 50 win team with good health.

I don't think people realize how good Wade and Bosh were on both ends.

Argument for the over: The Cavs won 66 and 61 games in Lebron last two seasons with the team, and that was with a much weaker supporting cast, and Mike Brown as the coach.

Argument for the under: The Cavs only won 33 games last year, the new cast has never played together, Love and Irving have both had frequent injuries, and David Blatt has never coached an NBA game

Personally I think 58.5 is about right, could go either way.

IMO even if you assume a major injury to Irving or Love, that team is still decent enough for 50-55 wins in the East as long as LeBron is healthy, so 58 wins doesn't seem very far off at all.

Cavs will win 60 games out East. They're going to be an amazing regular season team. The questions will come when they play an elite defensive team in the playoffs.
