Hes a top 25 player in the NBA at 19. People acted like he was gonna be a bust. I dont think it's a big factor, although it players a role in the all star votes. Not to be discounted is his personality, flair for the game, looks/smile. He really looks like he is having fun out there and it's a joy to watch.

How is this supposed to be a bad thing? Women celebrate a woman succeeding in a man's business. Black coaches are celebrated and used as a sign of how far we have come. Its not about being "celebrated". Most experienced role players are also prominent.

Hype or "The Great White Hope" refers to sensationalism. Luka is definitely experiencing some of that on social media. Among the mainstream media? Not really. Unless being talked about as an all-star triggers you.

all i said was doncic is about to be top 10 soon. he already has the skills and the confidence but doesnt quite have the results yet...hes had some amazing clutch moments and passes the eye test with flying colours

I'd say it's the exact opposite. He's 2nd in All Star voting which he shouldn't be but people here act like you aren't supposed to be excited by a 20/7/5 19 year old, who's lead his team to a 13+ pace over last year and has hit some of the biggest clutch shots of the season

1. QB has been a predominantly white position throughout history. of course nobodies saying the GOAT out of all of them is hyped only cause hes white
