Why did Lebron shoot horribly vs. Spurs in 2007, while Melo/Kobe shot great?
Don't give me any BS about how Kobe and Melo had better supporting casts, because Lebron's poor efficiency was due EXCLUSIVELY to his jumpshooting:
He shot 17.9% on jumpshots (62% of offense) and 63% on layups (33% of offense).
So what's Lebron's excuse for shooting so horrifically? (it's okay to not have an excuse and just say he's a horrible shooter)

Kobe and Melo can make jump shots. Lebron in 2007 was purely an athletic freak that no team apparently could stop from getting to the rim, until he ran into the Spurs.
Lebron right now is shooting 34% on jump shots for the season. He isn't a good jumpshooter, period.
Kobe went up against the Spurs a year later in the Playoffs and shot 53% against the Spurs, finishing over anyone (including Duncan) at will. You look at the last game of that series and he just toys with them like they're a D-league team.

If Lebron could shoot, the 2007 Finals would've been a VERY close series that could've gone either way - Game 1 was an 8 point game in 4th quarter despite 5-15 and 10 points from Lebron.. 10 points!!.. That's all he had.
Games 3 and 4 were 1-possession nail-biters despite 24 points on 39% shooting and 25 points on 33% shooting from Lebron..
If Lebron shoots 50% in that series (like Kobe, Melo and Bonzi did against the same Spurs teams), it's a different series.

Dude averaged 10 points on 45/33/88 shooting in the 4th Q's of that series along with 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Scored 5 points in the final 20 something seconds of G3 as well.

Yet another stupid thread. In 2007 Lebron hadn't developed as a consistent jump shooter. He was a hot/cold streak shooter much like his regression this year. His driving ability was goat tier during that time imo, he was getting blowbys without crossovers or picks lot back then. Also Bowen was one of the few guys in the league that gave him trouble at that time, he hadn't figured him out yet. Furthermore Pop watched his gut the Pistons the previous round and made sure the same didn't happen to his team. Mike brown nor lebron were experienced enough to make any adjustments to free lebron up in spots he was more effective in. Not to mention Larry Hughes being hurt allowed Tp to run wild winning fmvp.

Ironic, coming from a Kobeturd.
I don't know how 10/2/2 on 45/33/88 shooting is statpadding, when 3 of those games were close in the 4th. Maybe you don't understand what clutch is since, you're a 6/24 stan.

Broken Jump Shot, Can't play off the ball, mediocre iso skills. Same old same old.

Hence the reason why 2016 finals will be a repeat of 2007 finals.

It's interesting what they tell themselves to help cope with the inevitable 2/7. The inevitable 2007 repeat.
The meltdown will be so great! April will be here sooner than you think.
