Well...as a starter Lin is averaging, not counting today:

19 ppg ,3.8 rpg, and 8.1 apg on 45% FG in 35 mpg in 21 games.

Post All Star Lin is averaging:

15.4 ppg, 3.6 rpg, and 7.4 apg on 42.5% FG in 32.0 mpg in 10 games.


Sessions as a starter was averaging:

17.8 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 11.0 apg, on 45.5% FG in 36.7 mpg in 4 games.

Post All Star:

10.5 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 4.3 apg, on 42.6% FG in 22.0 mpg in 12 games.



Sessions is a more polish player. He is better at his ball handling and more polish at driving. Lin is more awkward at handling the ball and driving, but he is statistically a better shooter at the mid-range, but Sessions is the better 3pt. Lin seems the better offensively player though.

I would take Lin than Sessions, but Sessions need a start to show more what he could do.

Why are people still acting like Lin is in the midst of his 8 game winning streak?

His play has drastically declined since then in terms of production, and some of his glaring weaknesses are now more visible than before.

And yes, I've seen many of his games and I see a pretty average player - borderline starter at this point. In fact, probably the one thing that'll keep him in the starting lineup despite his declining play is the marketing angle. That's it.

Sessions is better at driving, penetrating, he's faster and he's less turnover prone than Lin. Lin probably has a better jumper and his defense is better. Give me Sessions. I don't think Lin could put up these numbers in LA.
