Best Duo that does not exist
Pick any two players in the league currently that has never played with one another in an official NBA game.
Take into account:
*Salaries (Having two guys that are being paid 25 Mil doesn't leave much on the table)
*Personallities (Dwight howard's playfulness doesn't fit with guys like Kobe)
*Assume that the two players play together on a generic team, and not one of either teams they are currently in, so just their own combo. (Kyle Korver + Paul george does not take Millsap or Shroder into account.)
*Age (CP3 is 30 and KAT is 20, by the time KAT hits his prime CP3 will be past his)
You can post as many as you like, and you can elaborate if you wish.
Off the bat I'll start with these few:
Jimmy Butler/Anthony Davis (Defense inside and outside, well balanced offense with lots of explosiveness, both are young.)
Kevin Love/Cousins (The floor spacing would be unreal. If Cousins can keep his shit on defense the offensive potential can be pretty good. Kevin love is a willing and good passer.
Kawahi Leonard/Karl Anthony Towns (I feel as though their personalities will match well. Kawahi is still fairly young and I think that they are two of the best two way players in the league, well KAT is likely to end as up as one in a couple of years. Top 10 Offense and Top 10 Defense imo if these two are your core with a decent coach.)
Who you guys got?

Harden/ Davis will make the best pnr duo since Stockton/ Malone. Davis can cover Harden on defense with his rim protection.

Yes, he could.
But Davis has failed to lead his team to a good defensive season with decent guards. So won't Harden be too much of a burden?

I feel that's because Davis isn't a great defensive player overall, just a great weakside help shotblocker. And that's where Harden's weakness as a defender lies: getting beat or just not being aware of backdoor cuts. Sometimes it's not as simple as just weak defender + strong defener = ok defensive team, but pinpointing their strengths and weaknesses in unison. And their deadly pnr is more than enough offense to carry 2 or 3 defensive minded guys to help out.

That's one of the dumbest comparisons I've ever seen. I want to know how you got to that conclusion. I could see if you said Kobe and Paul George...but Kobe and CP3?

Game. Set. Match.
Re: Best Duo that does not exist
I always thought CP3 and Durant would be a crazy good combo.

LeBron and prime Ray Allen/prime Reggie Miller would be fun to watch.
