I can't take the Nuggets seriously because their best player is a terrible defender. Jokic is a great talent on offense but he can't cover OP.

Which is why all his defensive metrics are all really good and the Nuggets were giving up like the 3rd least amount of points in the West coming into tonight despite missing Harris for a boatload of games, and even Millsap. It was Durant, Curry, Klay going off tonight. No idea what that has to do with Jokic.

You need to watch the games. You always mention this tho. Salty he's better than Porzingis.

But yeah Nuggets aren't the 1st seed. There crazy young. Nobody should take them serious this season, there window is still 2-3 years away. Jokic being an MVP candidate currently has us far better than we probably should be.

Warriors shot less free throws than an average game for James Harden and still scored 142 points

When the Nuggets beat the Warriors earlier in the year 100-98, there were 51 fouls. It was a more physical game. Today there were only 32. In that game Denver won, they committed 22 fouls; in the losing effort today, only 12. I think you have to rough up the Warriors a bit to have a chance, otherwise they will beat you on talent. Throw them off their game, get into their heads.

Added to that, Nuggets had 11 steals in that winning game, only 4 today. So defense matters since as today showed, no matter how good your offense is, Warriors' is better.

All that said, nothing today may have helped when GSW is making everything. But if the Nuggets want a chance, they have to turn up the physicality and will have more excuse to do so in the playoffs where the officials allow more physical play.

Defensive metrics being good has nothing to do with him Millsap is an excellent defender. I hope you're not telling me Jokic is a good defender. I watch maybe 5-6-7 Nuggets games a year. He puts on a show on offense. But the guy he's covering does almost as well, even though they are clearly not as talented as him. Tell me something, would you rather see Plumlee in there to get a defensive stop... or Jokic?

He prob is better than Porzingis, but let me tell you something... surround KP with solid players like Jokic has and I'm sure he would lead a good team as well. And he can anchor a defense as well.
