If they're getting the Big 3 they don't have the money to sign Parsons. Hayward (who is of similar value and putting up similar numbers) is commanding a $10-$12 million contract. Cavs were rumored to be offering him $15 million possibly. Parsons will get at least $10 million.

I think if they got Bosh they'd certainly have to move Lin to free up cap space to retain Parsons. Still a great team though.

Lin is going to be moved regardless. If Lin is traded, that frees up 20m in cap space the Rockets can use to sign Bosh (15m?), sign another player (MLE), and then match Parsons offer.

Alexander said he is willing to go into the LT if the money is spent wisely, and I would say that that would be a wise investment.

Maybe look at Jameer as the PG with Bev as the backup, maybe grab boozer on the cheap, and a back up C somewhere along the way...

Point is, 20m was freed up for Melo, and should he choose to go elsewhere, signing Bosh would still leave Houston with 5m and the MLE with Parsons Bird Rights. There's a lot of things they could do.

Oh and two first round picks (their own and probably lotto NO pick) and 3 second round picks (two of which will be high from NY and Minn) for next year's draft. Someone will be traded, and Houston will have a stacked ass team. I've said from the beginning Melo would not be the difference maker if he didn't come as long as Bosh (who is cheaper) or Love came up. Turns out signing Bosh for 5m less than Melo is a blessing in disguise.

You misunderstand. If you look at the person I quoted he said "Maybe the HEAT can sign Parsons" my reply about the Big 3 and Parsons was Miami, not the Rockets.

If you look at all my posts you'll see I'm fully aware they would move Lin (they probably will anyway if no deals go through) so they can sign Parsons and Bosh.

The Rockets fully expected to go after Bosh now since Bosh wants near the max, or the max. Rockets are exploring trading Jeremy Lin (Sixers have shown interest) in terms of clearly space to make big off to Bosh.
