You never saw Do The Right Thing (1989)? It's a masterpiece.

Since then he's mostly coasted, making enjoyable but mediocre movies up until 10 or so years ago. Now his movies are complete garbage and he's become a joke in the community. Sad to see really.

Can someone explain to me how "Do the right thing" is a good movie?

2 retards walk into the pizza spot and start yelling at the owner for not having any black people on his wall, who happens to be Italian so he puts famous Italians in his own store. They keep yelling at him and refuse to leave, he calls the cops, cops end up killing a resisting idiot, the "people" in protest rise up and burn down the pizza place even though it had absolutely nothing to do with that death. Was that the "right thing to do"? What's even worse is they try to burn down the Korean guys business afterwards. Like wtf, how about go burn down the police station if you are so angry.

Imagine that movie in this day and age, 2 red necks walk into a Chinese restaurant and demand the owner put Walker Texas Ranger and Johnny Cash posters on his wall, he calls the cops, they end up killing one of the guys so the trailer park community burns down the business.
