Default Would rookie Shaq be more valuable than any duo today?

Obviously they have to be on the same team right now.

From a pure basketball point? Maybe. Probably.

But as far as building your franchise around him?

No. Ego problems, chemistry issues with teammates, and lack of trying hard/ drive.

I would take both LeBron/Wade, and Durant/Westbrook.

I wouldn't take anyone over rookie Shaq. Knowing his peak and how his career went, I could build a team around him that would be far more dangerous than any KD/Westbrook team.

If this is a draft in which I have no knowledge of who Shaq will become, I'd probably take KD and Russ.

Idk if Shaq would be as dominant today, if he played the same way. Does everyone forget his elbow/shoulder checks? He would be fouled out by halftime. Every little touch is a foul today, can't even back anyone down aggressively.

You can't just take players from different years and assume their playstyle would bring the same results.

I would take LeBron alone over any version of Shaq. Shaq a gun for hire that was swept 6 times in his career. People can hate on Bron for leaving Cleveland. But he left a shit team after 7 years. Shaq left a stacked Orlando team that was just in the ECF.

From a basketball production standpoint/chance of winning, i probably would take Shaq.

But there's so much to factor with Shaq, the guy was in 3 very good team situations and left all of them with feuds and burnt bridges.

And rookie Wade/LeBron? I don't know if there is one player that would be worth more than that duo?

Erm...well yeah in terms of looking at the long run because it'll probably be easier to build a team around him. Like the Orlando Magic in the mids 90s. Great talent all over.

But in terms of impact on the floor in that one specific year? Nope. Durant and Westbrook are great together when healthy.

Rookie Shaq would be a top 3 player. Who would be his competition at the C? Al Jefferson?

Instant MVP candidate

What team would he be on though?
