My initial thought was he wants to go to Miami, but they've told him they can't sign him due to cap restrictions, so he's holding out for a trade there.

No he better accept his role at the end of the bench or retire. I doubt that would happen. They'd probably have to make him stay home since they can't amnesty him now. I do think he could help someone still.

But (the Cavs) still need someone else, and they are looking at unrestricted free agents Carlos Delfino and C.J. Miles. Delfino is 6-6, 230 pounds and averaged 9.0 points and 3.9 rebounds for Milwaukee in 2011-12. He has been in the league for seven years, and is mostly a 3-point specialist. Earlier today Utah Jazz forward Derrick Favors (with the help of Matt Sanchez @_MattSanchez) "took over" the Utah Jazz Official Twitter account and had an extended Question and Answer session with fans. Lucky Jazz fans got some classic "That's so Derrick..." type of answers. Derrick talked about what he sees for the Jazz future; where he thinks he can be as a player in a few seasons; the differences between New Jersey and Utah; the Olympics; movies and music; his pre-game ritual of eating at Subway; his 39" vertical jump; and if he likes chocolate milk or not.
All in all it was a fun morning and Billy Lea (@BillyLea) uploaded the full transcript here. Great work guys.

positive and both sides would like to keep him in a Utah uniform. However, [COLOR=#000080]all indications are Millsap will become an

Jazz made an initial extension offer to Millsap for three years at about $25
million, the most possible under new CBA rules.[/COLOR] Millsap isn't

That blows! Can only give him 8 millions a year. Portland stuck it to us again with that damn contract it looks like. Wonder how Big Al feels about them not having extention talks with him? He's worth twice that based on the contracts given out this summer. Other than Deron was there anyone better out there?

By signing Millsap to an extension or retaining
him as a high-priced free agent next summer, Utah could set itself up for
another Kirilenko-like scenario: paying star-player money to an athlete who
regularly comes off the bench. In a proactive effort that represents the Jazz's
desire to keep Millsap but retain future financial flexibility, the Jazz have
already begun examining which teams could afford to pay Millsap the $10 million
to $14 million average salary he's expected to seek if he becomes a free
agent.

It better be someone with a hell of a point guard to give up is all I can say!

that longtime Jazz General Manager Kevin O'Connor is moving
into a top executive position with Utah and leading the search to hire a new
GM.


A high-ranking Jazz source confirmed the
report. The source told The Salt Lake Tribune there has recently been
"talk in the organization" that O'Connor plans to turn the GM title over to
someone else, but nothing has been made official.



Messages left Monday for O'Connor and Jazz
president Randy Rigby weren't immediately returned.


A Jazz spokeswoman was unaware of O'Connor's
reported move.


Wojnarowski reported that Oklahoma City's
Troy Weaver was targeted for the job but will stay with the Thunder. San
Antonio's Dennis Lindsey and Cleveland's David Griffin have also reportedly
drawn interest.

Carroll plays the 4? I could see Marvin there before Carroll. Carroll and Evans look to be energy guys at the end of the bench I'd think unless injuries or trades change things. Hopefully the new GM moves Jefferson ASAP!
