We're down to the last handful of games of this abortion of a season for the Lakers and people still think they're capable of winning a playoff series, let alone against the likes of SA or OKC?

If the Lakers miss the playoffs, at least their fans and Bean stans can play the 'what if' game and live happily in their delusion. If the Lakers do squeak in somehow, better get those brooms ready.

And to answer the OP's question- I could really care less if the Lakers make it or not, the writing's been on the wall for this team for months now. But it would be funny to see what might just be the most epic failure in NBA history.

If Parker and Ginobili plays hurt (enough to significantly affect their game) come playoff time, i can see the jazz or lakers making the series very competitive. OKC can still catch SA for the top spot though.

The Jazz will put up more fight in the playoffs than the Lakers can at this point. The Jazz have been better than the Lakers all season except for a stretch of time in early March. The Lakers have had too many injuries and are too worn down to do much of anything in the playoffs. I think the Jazz can upset SAS more so than LAL despite the experience edge the Lakers have had in the past.
