LA just isn't the same as last year, they are lacking a lot of consistency/desire.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if they didn't even make it out the West.

I think people forget how key Trevor Ariza's shooting and scoring was in the playoffs last year. Mainly against Orlando.

I think the Lakers have all the tools needed to win, but I just don't think they want it as bad as some of the other teams anymore. I can't count how many times I've seen them out there showing a lack of effort.

Every team has their off games (some more frequently than others), but there is just no excuse for a lack of trying.

They havn't looked good since before the all-star break. I think the fact they have struggled to beat the elite has showed alot about their motivation compared to last year.

Except that Duncan didn't win mvp that year. Lebron won MVP and lost to Dwight Howard. Dwight Howard never beat anyone else.
