Default How many MVPs would Nash have won in the 60s?

The MVP was awarded to the center position nine times in the 60s (Wilt 4, Russell 4, Unseld 1) and only once to a perimeter player.

Of course that was Oscar, who averaged the following over his first 8 years:

    30.3, 9 reb, 10.6 asst on 48.8%

Oscar was 6-5. Note: Cousy's MVP was for the 56-57 season.

Yes, you may time travel Nash to the 59-60 season as a rookie or in his prime. Or he can grow up then. Oscar's rookie year was 60-61. Wilt was 59-60.

The same amount as Lenny Wilkens won in the 60's.

He'd probably play center back then, which wouldn't optimize his skill set. Even with this disadvantage I think he still snags 4-5 MVPs, at the least 3.

    Word.

He also would have won the same amount Maravich won in the 70s.

Note: Maravich and Robertson: both 6'5"

    More on Lenny Wilkens:

Bob Pettit, before Wilkens: highest FG% was .438

    Bob Pettit, playing with Wilkens:
    .447
    .450
    .446
    .463

Then in his final year, .429

Anyone else think it's no coincidence that his most efficient four years came when playing with a great point guard?
