Default So apparently the Jazz are the ones helping the Cavs out

Utah's trading John Lucas, Malcolm Thomas and Erik Murphy to Cleveland for Carrick Felix, future 2nd and $1M, sources tell Yahoo.

What does this mean for cleveland? How does this move make a Love move easier?

You know how you always here about trade "filler"? The Cavs just acquired filler.

Windy: "All 3 players have non-guaranteed contracts that can be used in other trades, may not directly relate to Love pursuit, sources said."

why not just do this as a part of one big 3 team deal...seems as if Love deal isn't 100% done yet..

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 1m Minnesota's been determined to unload Kevin Martin and JJ Barea in a Love deal -- no easy task for Cavs to make work without a third team.

Windy is speculating that this could be something separate... that these contracts could be used in addition to a first round pick or some other asset to get a big, because it is looking pretty thin up-front atm.

As much as anything, three non-guaranteed contracts give Cavs what one source calls, "Buying power," whether used on Love or elsewhere.

i would be pretty content if the cavs went after a legit C, i just don't know who is available and/or who they are targeting. They have a major hole at the pivot.

TT reportedly grew to 6'10 since he was drafted and IMO is a better C than PF, but nowhere near the answer.

JJ Barea is my favorite munchkin in the NBA.

I'm not sure if this is correct or not, but someone said those contracts are non-guaranteed right now, but will be guaranteed on 8/1. So some type of trade should be happening between now and and Thursday the 31st.

Just Murphy becomes guaranteed I think.
