Taking the Bible literally is not using your brain. Those stories in the Old Testament were meant to be used to teach the tribes of Israel some morals and to keep them from destroying each other.

No i don't believe in Noah's ark or Jonah and Whale or that stuff. I'm catholic, catholics don't believe in the bible in a literal sense.

I just think its very dumb to write off a person's intelligence because of their cultural identity. My family has been catholic for probably about 1500 years or so. I'm not stupid because I was born a catholic.

people are going to choose the poster who they can relate to the most or the person who argues with them the least. There are some very smart posters who get chastised for speaking his point of view.
I think primetime is actually pretty smart. but because his ideas don't mesh with other people's he's never mentioned in these type of threads.
J$ does, and he deserves to be mentioned. He's always searching for knowledge and fascinated with the most obscure things.
GTS is probably one of the only people I actually have gained knowledge from because he can relate his thoughts well in a way it doesn't make me feel dumb.
