I don't understand the Kobe hatred

Completely unjustified if you ask me, some of the things he's criticized for make no sense...

Shaq carried him... yea Shaq dominated, but so did Kobe, in fact Kobe's second option numbers are on par with Lebron's first option numbers in their respective championship years... just look it up, it's there

He only shot 45%, not 50% like Jordan... But did you know Kobe has just about made more 3s in his career then Jordan even Attempted, wouldn't that lead to a lower fg%? Kobe's 2p fg% is 49% compared to Jordan's 51%, that isn't that off. When you see a guy like Dwayne Wade who shoots around 50%, but at what cost, constantly driving to the basket and taking a beating has Wade more hobbled than Kobe even at this point in his career... So Kobe's a jump shooter, so was the other great perimeter players of his generation, Tmac, Pierce, Carter, Iverson, Allen, all similar play styles, electing to shoot first, drive second, and all those guys have a worse fg% than Kobe, but all these players lasted longer than Wade who in just 10 seasons can't even play back to back games anymore...

This one really grinds my gear... Kobe's criticized for only having 1MVP, but Shaq(the man who "carried" him") only has 1 MVP and he also has less rings than Kobe, but Shaq isn't penalized for that because? The MVP is a popularity award in the NBA, whoever's the flavor of the year will win it so long as his team wins 50 games, Kobe just had shit luck of being stuck with Shaq, and then having the NBA crown Lebron all while Kobe was having Jordan like playoff numbers

How can you hate a player who came into the league at 17, compared to Jordan at 17 , man enough to shoot 4 straight air balls in the playoffs, you know how much balls you gotta have to keep on shooting in a situation like that? We've literally seen Lebron run from shots like that throughout his career(but that's the topic for my next thread )
