yeah both get too many MVP's based off hype too. Manning statpadded a shitload last year. I think vs the Raiders he stayed in during a blowout just to get 7 TD's lol. Sounds like LeBron vs the Bobcats.

I feel like Mannings playoff issues are less mental though. He just doesn't put much zip on the ball and in the playoffs vs elite defenses they'll expose that shit.

LeBron in the playoffs just doesn't have the "win at all costs" mentality that many of the greats do. I don't believe it's something you can teach to a grown man though, so people will just have to accept that thats who he is.

Also because of Mannings lack of throwing velocity, it also doesn't bode well in the playoffs because around that time the weather is colder too, making it harder for guys who depend mostly on elite ball placement to complete most of their passes. He plays notoriously worse in cold weather games, which usually come at the end of the year and in the playoffs.

It's a combination of things but I think only a small part of it is mental compared to LeBron who appears to have a mental block holding him back. He wants to have fun and stockpile individual accolades but he doesn't appear to have the "win at all costs" mentality that is required to have something like a winning finals record.

You want real losers? And I mean this...

John Elway and Johnny Unitas. Two of the game's greatest "chokers" in NFL history. Look up their post-season QB ratings. And yet the two are generally regarded as the two most "clutch" QBs of all-time. Unitas won two titles very early in his career, and then not only couldn't win in the biggest games of the rest of his career, he was simply awful in all of them.

And Elway won two rings in the last two seasons of his career. He was a running joke on the Simpsons up until he finally won his first ring, and even in that, he had one of the worst QB ratings ever in the SB (and it was Terrell Davis, who is somehow not in the HOF that won the game for them.) He FINALLY played well in his LAST season.

Even Joe Montana, who was undefeated in his Super Bowls, had some horrific "choking" post-season games. He led teams down to defeat by margins of 17-3, and 49-3. He was also BENCHED early in the second half of the Viking game in '87.

And how many times does anyone mention Bart Starr in the conversations as GOAT QB? Went 9-1 in his post-seasons (his lone loss came early in his career, 17-13, and with his team down to the Eagle 8 yard line as time expired.) And he also has the highest post-season QB rating of all-time.

Just look at LeBrons actions and it's obvious.

He'll be dancing on the sidelines while the game is still going on and shit. He'll create 1 hour specials to announce a free agent decision and then go dance and celebrate the next day, he'll be dancing on the court while dribbling the ball out (surprised he didn't have someone tackle him for that lol)

The guy is like Dwight Howard was when he was in the East, except his team is more stacked.
