It's kind of insane to think they would create a tv show with a traitor/terrorist as the hero of the piece.

Are people just not used to watching shows with a female main character?

I don't know why people are acting like Brody is so important. Show's strong point was always the writing. If they get back to that, it can be good again

N*ggas acting like Brody's Jack Bauer
    He's easily replaceable

Brody was awesome. If they wanted to kill him they should have done it in season 1, it was too far to kill him off now.

Carrie is an interesting character but she can be unbearable to watch.

Saul has his ups and downs. How could he let his cheating ass wife off the hook so easily?

Quinn is cool but there seems like there aren't too many characters they can centre the show around anymore.

Seemed like a series finale to me.

Saul's wife wasn't cheating. They were pretty much separated, even though she didn't move out because Saul was always too distracted.

This comment is from last December, but my read on it is that Mira told Saul she was leaving him and going back to India. She only returns because a bomb kills off half the CIA and she knows Saul is going to need her.

She's not fully returning to the marriage.

I've watched. The two hour season premier was really just a giant press of the reset button. The sort of just accounted for a few loose ends and set up Carrie to be working in Pakistan. Since then I still have my doubts. There's just too much history, and big history, in the character, to really believe some of what they're doing. And they're playing her up now as this Siren call because they need another male lead for her to play off of that just doesn't make a ton of sense.

I like that season 4, at least so far, seems far more grounded in reality. Last season was getting a bit too close to the ridiculousness of shows like 24. That's not what I want from Homeland.

I don't think this show will ever regain the quality of its first 2 seasons because Brody was such a strong character but it was always about Carrie first. Write her and the characters around her well, and the show will continue to succeed. So far, so good.

I had no idea how they would rebound from the last season, but I must say I'm really liking this new season. It's one of the best political dramas on TV. I also find myself rooting for the Pakistani kid.... but what was in his bag....
