This region is kind of interesting. I could already see a potential classic 08 Celtics vs. 07 Spurs 1-2 seed KGvsDuncan battle in the finals. But it does have some good dark-horse teams, like the 05 Suns, and even the 04 Lakers as a 6th seed.

Yeah, going by what I've seen when using the '08 Celtics in some sims against other historically great teams, I'd be surprised if they didn't come out of this region. They're a beast on WIS.

Pretty sure it basically does because I think it mostly, somehow, goes by the averages for the players that season. So, essentially, you'll get pretty close to the '04 versions of Malone and Payton.

And to go by what I think would happen in real-life, I'd still go with the '08 Celtics. I mean sure, they struggled just to make it to the Finals, but that team is/was still pretty damn good. And I think they're the best team in the region.

Don't know if they qualify since they're the 3-seed, but I could see the '09 Cavs as a darkhorse.

Preview: The 2008 Boston Celtics finished with a 66-16 record, that is the 2nd highest # of wins in the entire decade. It came in the 1st year of the Big 3: Garnett, Pierce, and Allen. Afterwards they went into the playoffs and eventually won the championship earning them the top speed. KG, Pierce, and Ray were as good as they have ever been on Boston, but Rondo was still young at age 21. They were a dominant defense this season as well.

The 2007 Raptors were probably the best Bosh-led team seen. They went 47-35 that season before losing to the Nets in the 1st round. Besides for Bosh having arguably his best season, Ford, Parker, and Bargnani made an interesting set of role-players.

The main matchup to watch here will be Garnett vs. Bosh. If Garnett wins this battle the Raptors have almost no chance. Bosh needs to play well for Toronto to stand a chance. Overall, the Raptors will be looking at a tough series going against the top seeded Celtics who maybe the best defensive team in this tournament.

What does that site base it's predictions on? I just ran the '00-01 Lakers against the 96-97 Bulls and it said the Lakers would win in 5....with a couple games being double digit wins.
