We used to get disapproving stares by white folks all the time. This was back in the late 70's/80's growing up in Chicago, interracial couples weren't as accepted as today. Funny thing is they weren't an interracial couple but since my Mom could pass as an Anglo I have all the colors of the rainbow in my family, some look like your typical Latino to cousins who people believe are white.
Yah. My mom is black and my dad is white, but what people don't understand is I'm not interracial. My parents are both American.
