One of the drawbacks of the lockout ending last year was that guys like Deron couldn't raise the level of the Euroleague more. Playing with a GOAT like DWill woulda improved the games of VSpan and company. Hell, VSpan would probably learn how to average over 5 ppg in the NBA.

As for Parker, simply legendary. He's the Kareem of Euroleague. Rackin up awards like b!tches

Can't believe we have dumbasses like ZenMaster doubting the skill of our players. Deron and Anthony worked hard to become the greatest players of the Euroleague. The fact that you are disrespecting them like this should suffice in a ban.

I'm gonna have to go with Anthony Parker. Deron Williams had a slightly better peak, but Parker has longevity on his side. He completely dominated the Euroleague for such a long time. And lets not forget about 50 year old Dominique Wilkins. He is definitely in the discussion. And then you have guys like Jordan Farmar, Andrei Kirilenko, and Nenad Krstic, who were also dominant forces in the Euroleague. But I think any reasonable basketball fan that has watched the Euroleague would agree that Anthony Parker and Deron Williams are easily the two best players in Euroleague history.

Agreed. If D will's career wasn't cut short due to financial reasons there is no doubt he would have became GOAT within a year or 2.

Anthony Parker was 2 time regular season MVP (2005 and 2006) and one time Final Four MVP (2004)... My God he was dominating in Europe, unreal...

BTW Arvydas Sabonis was the regular season MVP in 2004 and he was 40!!!

    First post here! :)
I realise this is probably a troll thread, but I would like to give my opinion about this...
First, Deron Williams did not ever play in Euroleague (and neither did Pippen...), but that doesn't change the fact that he is probably the best player ever to play in Europe (I think that he is, but there are some older players from europe who never played in NBA and we can only speculate how good would they be), and if he had chosen a team that had a chance to actually play in Euroleague he would also be best player to play in Euroleague ( Ofcourse, this is if he actually was motivated and played completely devoted).
As for Parker, you guys should really stop mentioning him so much because you are only giving credibility to Euroleague (the poster) with such statements.
Parker was extremely good player for Euroleague level, but he was also in a peerfect situation which he used to his advantage, he is a player that probably wouldnt cross any european fan mind when naming top 20 to play in Europe ( not just the euroleague). He absolutely doesnt have a case to be in the discussion for European GOAT ( and neither does Deron because he only stayed for a couple of months, played for idiotic team, and failed to make any kind of team achievement, and did not take playing in europe seriously enough to actually show that he is on of the best ever to play here).

So Deron Williams is a "bigger name" than George Gervin, Nikos Galis, Oscar Schmidt, Michael Ray Richardson, Byron Scott, Darryl Hawkins, etc,. etc,........

    I don't think so.
