He's showing him his most inefficient shots, the ball stopping jab step dribble pull up series

Why is it so hard for people to appreciate all great players for what they are? Melo is a great, great scorer. He's not a better player than Lebron Pauk, we get it.

All everybody does on ISH is praise their own favorite players by talking shit about everybody else's.

The one thing I noticed in Griffin's shot was his fluidity. No dumb pauses or hitches.

Melo: "Ok Blake when you get the ball you must shoot the basketball."

Blake: "What if I'm doubled should I pass to the open teammate?"

    Melo: "Pass????????"

I love watching Melo when he's on. I don't think he's a particularly hard worker, and I think he's one of those players that gives up easily when the chips are against him so it doesn't reflect badly on him. So as if to say, well I wasn't all there, if I did show up, it would have been different. That's hardly the case though when you're a pro athlete and it is looked upon quite poorly.

Saying that though, he's my favorite player to watch when on. His jumpshot has to be one of the prettiest I've seen ever. Him and Mitch Richmond.

Just accept that not everybody else sees the game the same way you do.

The problem with Melo is that he plays both a little dynamic behind the 3pt line + a lot of static mid-range 1on1. It's a bad combination.

On his mid-range 1on1 he does a lot of pull ups without attacking, he's not particularly good on these jab step pull ups but seems determined on shooting them. Doing this he makes himself a worse player than he could be.

Him being determined playing face up 1on1 from mid-range also makes it impossible to be succesfull in spacing the floor effeciently with two other big guys(Chandler Stoudemire). No matter how you slice it there isn't enough room for 3 big guys inside the 3pt line which is why we've seen Stoudemire standing at the 3pt line as a shooter on several occasions last year.

He needs to get better at moving without the ball, especially on the perimiter in pick'nroll situations and attacking in 1on1 dynamic(knowing and making your move as soon as you get the ball by reading your defender before you get the ball).

Defense is a whole other story, for x amount of year people have been saying he can play good defense when he wants to. But for x amount of years Melo apparently hasn't wanted to. Why wouldn't you do something on a basketball court that your are good at all the time?

I too hate Carmelo. I'll never discredit his scoring ability though. Of course his FG% looks bad most games, but he can score. He's just not a winner to me. He's only concerned about getting his points. Hell he doesn't even get mad after a loss. At least Amare punches something when he loses.
