Default Is there a better defensive or rebounding starting 5 than OKC's when healthy?

    Westbrook
    Roberson
    Durant
    Ibaka
    Adams

All of those guys are either elite defenders or rebounders for their position, have elite height, athleticism, and length for their position, and are at worst great at defense or rebounding.

We all know how good Westbrook is... He's the triple double machine that came through with clutch defense all playoffs long last year.

Roberson was the best rebounder in all of college when he played and was also a defensive player of the year. His DRTG last year was insanely high for a rookie and he got 9 rebounds per 36 minutes, from the SG position.

Durant is a perfect compliment to the rest of the guys. A great on ball defender and a great rebounder.

Ibaka could be the DPOY this year.

And Adams is a beast on the glass, already great at help defense, and improving all around as well. He's a bully...

It's hard to win a championship, no matter how good your team is. You're always competing against other teams just as hungry as you.

When you failed 5 years with a stacked team, you can say it

They may be good defensive players, but I don't think we will see results like the Bulls of 2011 with Westbrook filling the Rose role where he was the best player on a great defensive team. Thibs >>>> Brooks.

There's no question that Scott Brooks is an inferior coach to Thibs. It's no contest.

One thing that I would've liked Oklahoma City to have done is to bring back Ron Adams, who used to be an assistant coach for them for three years, to help improve their defense and hold the players more accountable on that end with a little bit better scheme. He was with Chicago and is now with Golden State.

Oklahoma City often over commits on their help defense from the weak side and it leaves shooters wide-open on the weak side of the defense regularly, although the strategy does a decent job of cutting off drives to the rim. But they over commit and it leaves invulnerable to good three-point shooting teams.

An assistant coach like Ron Adams would help them, I believe.

I would say that Chicago is a better team defensively because of Thibs defensive philosophy and his commitment on that end of the court. Oklahoma City has the personnel to be just as good, possibly better, but the coaching is inferior.

I do believe that this lineup for Oklahoma City is probably a better rebounding team.

They only start two guys who are better at defense and rebounding than OKC's counterparts. And thats Butler and Noah.

If hinrich start he can play very good defense and Rose isnt a slouch either on that side especially with more offensive weapons now
Gasol/Gibson are both threats on the D

but idk OKC length and athleticsm is pretty dumb

No excuses. How many years of this historically stacked team does KD need to win a chip.
