Re: Can someone explain how MJ averaged 11 assists in 91 finals
MJ has the highest usage % in NBA history, especially in playoffs, especially in finals & especially during his prime/early 90s, usg. pct. averages would go up to 50% and sometimes over during a span of 4-7 games... then you combine in insane talent & put him on the correct role/position (pg/sg/comboguard) and play him 44-50 mpg... and voila... fg attempts/points & assists opportunities galore...

Agreed.
Jordan went from 35ppg in the 80's, to 30 ppg in the 90's, to 20 ppg in the 2000's
Was he a different player? No, he was the same player, the difference was that the pace was slower as the years went on, and his usage also went down. Sometimes some perspective is needed when evaluating players.

He also aged and wasn't the same player he was when he was 25. This isn't rocket science.
It's still crazy that he averaged 31.5 and 11 on that insane shooting percentage in the 91 finals

If serious, this one of the most mentally vapid comments I've ever read.

shut up idiot, he did it in the flow of the game he had a off the ball game, he didn't hold the ball the entire possession, every possession like Lebron. He didn't spent the entire shotclock cherry picking the right moment to shoot or attack the basket or ending up passing the ball to someone else with 3 seconds to go.
Pray the lords that usage doesn't show ball hogging.
