We have a guy with a 9th grade education trying to build teams and wonder why they self destruct every single time.

LeGM who recruits players such as Javale McGee and Lance Stephenson?

Because Lebron plays point guard from the small forward position, which in inefficient compared to other greats who play point guard from the point guard position.

This restricts the team's ability to make proper off ball passing.

Larry didn’t build the Celtics, Red Auerbach did.

Organic is awful when you sign Iggy, KD and Cousins to deals.

Steph was the Corner Stone. The Warriors were constructed around his talens strengths & weaknesses.

2009 Draft Steph Curry

2011 Draft Klay Thompson

2012 Remove Cancerous Monta Ellis

2012 draft Draymond Green

2013 Acquire Iggy

2014 Hire Steve Kerr

2016 Beat/seduce/Add Durant

2018 sign Boogie

Lebron builds a franchise just by bringing himself.

Now imagine if he could have had better front office his first time with the Cavs.

Exactly. Red drafted Bird a year early knowing hed go back to school. He traded some guys you never heard of for HOF Tiny Archibald. He then traded for a Pistons lottery pick that ended up being #1. He used the pick to trade for Robert Parish and #3.....which he used on Kevin Mchale. He traded someone else you never heard of(Rick Robey) for HOF Dennis Johnson. He traded Maxwell(an earlier pick he made) for Bill Walton to help win another ring. They also had Danny Ainge who they got with a second rounder because he was still on the Bluejays and his contract had to be bought out. So he slipped down and Red drafted a future all star for nothing. You know Gerald Henderson who used to be on the Hornets? Red traded his dad for a pick that ended up #2 overall to get Len Bias. But we know how that went. So he later got a steal drafting Reggie Lewis late.

Red Added like 9 stars during Birds career by outsmarting the rest of the league. Hell Red actually drafted Nick Galis(arguably the best European player of the 80s) in 79 but he got hurt and went to Greece instead.

Its Lebrons fault the Warriors were stupid enough to want Joe Barry Carroll more than Parish AND Mchale and that the Suns took a 4/4 backup center for Dennis Johnson AND a first round pick?

And even if Bird had refused to go to the Celtics who drafted him early(he had the option) know where he goes? The Lakers to play with Kareem. They would have drafted Bird over Magic at the time im sure. Magic said he wouldnt even come out to go to the Bulls.

Its entirely possible that Magic ends up the 1980 #1 pick who the Celtics had.

Then Magic gets to play with Red ripping off the league and Bird is in LA with Kareem, Nixon, and later Worthy(they would have had #1 that year no matter what...the trade to get the pick from the Cavs in 82 was made in the 79/80 season).

Cant really compare the management Bird and Steph had to Lebron on the Cavs the first run.

Jordan is a better comparison. Though the Bulls next 3 first rounders were Brad Sellers, Scottie Pippen, and Horace Grant and the Cavs were Luke Jackson, Shannon Brown, and JJ Hickson. They didnt even have a pick in 2005....because they traded their 2005 lottery pick for Wesley Person in 1997.

These players arent building teams around themselves.

Their success is at times set in motion or stopped before they are even drafted.

Build a realistic superteam (i.e. taking into account cap space) for LeBron with today's players.

Would it beat the Warriors?

Before LeBron's move to the Lakers people were speculating like crazy about the team he would join to take down the Warriors and the suggestions were things like

A. LeBron on the Rockets with Harden and CP3
B. LeBron on the Sixers with Embiid and Simmons
C. LeBron on the Lakers with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George

Which of those teams would be favorites against the Warriors and why? Or why not?

Criticism against option A: Could Harden accept being a second option? Would there be too many ball-dominant players?

Criticism against option B: Would Simmons be redundant and a poor fit? Would Simmons develop?

Criticism against option C: Would Leonard and George be willing to join LeBron and possibly be considered a sidekick? Would this most stacked possibility—and it would be stacked—even then, would it be the favorite against Golden State?

If there is any doubt in your mind that these possible LeBron James teams wouldn't be the favorite against Golden State, ask yourself why.

LeBron cannot organically build a squad like the Warriors built around Steph because even if given the ability to pick and choose players for a squad for LeBron to lead you couldn't build a squad like the Warriors for LeBron.

Swap LeBron for Steph on the Warriors, what do you think happens?

Had Lebron James been more patient and waited until all the right pieces were brought to the Cavs or had he been traded to another team for equal talent, it would have been one thing, but he had discussions beforehand with Wade and Bosh and joining them in Miami ruined his legacy and there's not a single poster on this website that believes otherwise.
