Seems pretty legit, but Bird would give LeBron a serious run for his money. I mean Bird did average 30/9/6/1.6/.8 on 53% shooting in 1988, that's pretty good.

Numbers from the 80's and early 90's are inflated compared to todays game
You can't compare straight numbers from two separate eras. Advanced statistics are good for era comparisons because they bias for such differentials.

Re: GOAT peak per position
As far as Lebron 2012 vs Lebron 2013
I give it to 2013 because the superior regular season, AND it isn't a major difference in the playoffs... 2012 slightly superior, but IMO in 2013 Lebron had much less help, especially by the end of the playoffs with Wade running on worn knees and Bosh scoring 0 points in game 7's

Troll thread, but whatever.
Oscar Robertson triple double season is probably GOAT peak, as is Wilt 1967.

Why are so many idiots not aware of the terms inflated stats and pace?

Re: GOAT peak per position
For the guard positions I will say Magic and Wade.
87 is a good year for Irving. 09 for Wade though 06 was great too with that championship run but he was better in 09.
For the forward positions, LeBron in 2012 and Duncan in 03.
I agree with Shaq for 2000.

Same reason you're not aware that rules changes have made it easier for perimeter players.
