Did Anderson Varejao bury any chance of his number being retired in Cleveland?
I think Love, Irving, Tristan Thompson & Lebron are lock to get their numbers retired.Maybe JR Smith too.
But Varejao buried himself for a ring, and he didnt even get the ring.

Why do you make it sound like it was his choice to leave the Cavs?

You really think all those guys are getting their number retired?
I'll say LeBron for sure. Kyrie if he retires there. Everybody were just role players and don't deserve it.

why would Varejao's number be retired in the first place?

Not sure why there was such an uproar over Varejao's flopping. That has always been his game. Sure, he probably cranked it up a notch because it's the finals. But the guy was just trying to win anyway he can.

Irving, LeBron, and Thompson (going to be top 5 for games played as a Cavalier, easily) are already locks. Agreed about the rest though. Odds are though, Love gets retired also. Varejao doesn't deserve it, but he is going to get the Big Z treatment because he played there forever.

Very good NBA starter
Re: Did Anderson Varejao bury any chance of his number being retired in Cleveland?
I don't think his number gets retired.
He was a solid to good player, had terrible injury luck.
I was unhappy when they traded him, but it obviously worked out in the end.
I don't have any animosity towards him for signing with GSW and no cavs fan should.
He should absolutely get a cavaliers championship ring.

I just don't see it man. You right about Andy flopping. That's his game but it seemed like he wasn't even trying to play defense in the finals.
