Was Danny Granger on the same level as Paul George before the injuries?
For those that who did watch him, how does he compare to Paul George in terms of being a franchise caliber player?

Paul George is way better than Granger ever was.
Granger was a Rudy Gay type.

Granger wasn't as versatile or even as good of a defender.

Pg eclipsed him about 3 years ago

Granger at his best was a better offensive player than what George has ever been
Not by a lot though, Paul is having a strong year. He just needs to work on getting his 2pt FG% up a bit, because he's doing great from 3.
But then when you factor in defense, George takes it comfortably

I'd say PG was slightly better.

It's a shame injuries and what not caused him to fall off so much
He and Paul could have done some real nice work, along with West, pre-trash Stephenson and all-star days Hibbert
I don't think he would have gotten them over the hump against Miami, but it might have made their record look a little better

Great college starter

Granger was poor man's Melo . George is versatile player .

Peak Granger:
26/5/3/1/1 with 2.5 TO's on 45/40/88. 114 ORtg, 109 DRtg.
Current George:
24/7/4/2/.4 with 3.3 TO's on 41/37/86. 106 ORtg, 101 DRtg.
Pretty much a wash. Granger scored more, more efficiently and was a better shot blocker. George is a better rebounder, maybe slightly better passer (1.4 more assists with almost 1 more turnover) and better steals man. Their offensive rating and defensive rating literally cancel each other out.
Granger Advanced: 22 PER, 58 TS, 29.6 USG, 5.6 OWS, 2.4 DWS, 158 WS/48, 3.8 OBPM, -0.9 DBPM, 2.9 BPM, 3.0 VORP.
George Advanced: 21 PER, 55 TS, 30.5 USG, 3.9 OWS, 4.5 DWS, 154 WS/48, 3.5 OBPM, 1.0 DBPM, 4.5 BPM, 4.3 VORP.
Looking at the advanced stats, I might lean slightly towards George. Impact seems to be better by a tiny margin, but it's not like Granger doesn't have an argument or anything. I think if anything, this just goes to show how overrated George is, especially on the defensive end.

Not airballing my layups anymore
Re: Was Danny Granger on the same level as Paul George before the injuries?
Boy oh boy when Danny granger was healthy he was great. He played both sides of the floor, was tough as nails, and was a great player for the community wtc
But PP surpassed him. That's not a bad thing. He was DG's understudy. That's evolution baby.

Re: Was Danny Granger on the same level as Paul George before the injuries?
No way in hell!! PG is a much better all around player and more versatile than Granger ever was. And he can score just as good! And PG still hasn't peaked yet. PG is a top 10-12 caliber player in the world in my opinion. Granger was NEVER close to that kind of level.

Granger was a poor man's Durant. Still a low all-star caliber player, so that "poor man's" is not a huge slap.

Except he can't. Post up proof that he can score better than Granger or stop trolling. Granger was a more efficient, better shooter across the board and on higher volume to boot.

Paul george is definitely more athletic, versatile and a good high end glue guy.
Danny could shoot and score better I felt.
