so once again michael haneke gives us the film of the year. do you guys have it yet? thought id just give a heads up for the film people on here, id say its his most accessible film by far. simply because there is none of his cold interellctual condescending of the audience and it isnt anywhere near as demanding as say hidden or the white ribbon. this film will literally move every single person that sees it and no one has ever handled death with such mastery.
haneke isnt just the arguably the greatest director in the world, hes distancing himself from everyone else.
perfection once again from the master, believe the hype.
not out here yet, a hugely ambitious mess is the consensus im hearing, which suits me just fine. been looking forward to it for months, most expensive independant film of alltime- i was hyping it here months ago. i hope its coherent enough to make some money back, tykwer is a great talent.
Looked at the film on IMDB. Looks like it'll be some artsy bullshit with little dialogue that gets praised for its simpleness, but depth and that same time. While showing the light, and the dark, and all that other bullshit, cliche crap that reviewers will come up with. Basically a contrived piece of shit.
I'll reserve judgement until I watch, but for now, I'm gonna guess it is what I described.
The Master is the movie of the year so far for me. Cant wait for Django Unchained. Not really a Haneke fan, but I heard hes much more sympathetic with his characters in Amour.
