Compared to Harden it might be above average defense.

Good rebounder, passable shooter, solid defense. Declining for sure though. Would love him on the Spurs as a backup forward. He'd be super effective in limited minutes there.

He makes perfect sense for SA. He can fill the 4 when they go small ball. He can defend the perimeter without liability. Has range and would fit well in either the stretch 4 or 3 wing when SA runs. The kind of veteran presence Pop loves and he could take some of the scoring pressure off other bench players.

So its doubtful he play in SA.

Then we could have kept Dalembert as our backup...and had Larkin as our 3rd guard.

Traded Calderon for cap relief...and actually had more cap room. That extra room would have been enough to bring back Carter.
