Re: Formal dressing
I don't know about best brands/designers but make sure your clothes fit well. Definitely don't buy shirts too big, you'll look silly.
Look at this for guidance.

I'm not built like a tank either, 5'11 170. But I bought a suit recently, this is how it should fit.

I like that. Looking good bro. You need to dress formal for work or what? I'm just trying to dress different on a few days of the week.

"Formal" means tux for guys. I think you're talking about business attire.

Re: Formal dressing
I was just going to complain how difficult it is to find dress shirts for guys with muscular upper bodies, but I might come off as a douche. It really is though, if you're not skinny, you need to get a tailored shirt and pay more. Dress shirts are so damn tight around the neck and arms. I just paid a grand for two nice tailored suits and shirts and I'm done. Luckily, my office is casual, I'm wearing a quick dry gym shirt today because its a hot day.

Re: Formal dressing
the most affordable/best is perhaps Zaras. Although they do have some clothes that are very metro/gay/hipster.
Express is okay, but more of what you'd wear to a club (perfect if that's what you're going for).
If you're going to Macy's, Kenneth Cole is usually a sure bet.

Go to a nice suit shop. I have about 20-25 suits and get nice dress shirts. Some plain some a little flashy. Stacy Adams on thr feet. A few fedora and bucket hats.

Re: Formal dressing
How much you guys paying on average per suit?
I just want the dress shirts, pants, and shoes. Ties of course. But suits I'm not ready for. One step at a time.
