Wow...there was 7 seconds left. More than enough time to swing twice.

Referee should be banned and the result not recorded officially.

I think Bradley would have been able to hang on and survive. This was a really good matchup. You were going to see either Vargas taking a big step towards the next level or you were going to see if Bradley was still one of the top WW in the game. Tim is a pretty good counter puncher when he sticks to it. But I don't think anyone is more vulnerable than Tim when hes just letting his hands go, leaving him wide open and his head stationary.

Why not Bradley vs Mayweather? At this point, doesn't he have just as good a case or even better one than Amir Khan to fight Floyd?

You don't have to be a huge puncher to hurt a guy really bad. Mohammad Ali was in the ring against two of the hardest punchers who have ever lived in Sonny Liston and George Foreman. Neither of those guys ever came close to hurting him, let alone knocking him down.

Chuck Wepner had just 11 KOs in his 30 wins over relatively mediocre competition when he stepped in against Ali... and Wepner legitimately had him hurt and knocked him down with a hard body shot.

A lot of times, it has more to do with how much leverage you have when you let the punch go and whether or not the opponent sees it coming.

Tim didn't see that coming and it was a bomb that connected perfectly. He was seriously hurt. I mean, in the post-fight interview, Bradley had massive swelling over his left eye and it was getting bigger and bigger the more Max talked to him.

Huge shot.
Bradley was not really hurt, just really wobbled. Hell, he blocked a punch Jessie threw at his face before Tom held him.

Vargas wasn't gonna do anything to Bradley.

And comparing heavyweight punchers to a guy in his first welterweight match-up is quite different.

It was a perfect overhand right. Right where it needed to go. But Vargas, with little power, all he could do was stagger him. We've seen what that same punch could do from Lucas M to Lamont Peterson. Peterson has a pretty good chin, but Lucas' punch went right through him.

The ref ****ed up, but by the time he waved it off there was about 6-7 seconds left on the clock. As durable as Bradley is and as shitty of a puncher/finisher Vargas is, does anybody really think he would have landed a knockout punch on Bradley in that time?

No need for a rematch though. Bradley should move on to bigger and better things.

How so?

Right now, he's the 3rd best 147 pounder out there behind Money and Pac. He can beat:

Kell Brook
Khan
Thurman
Porter

He doesn't have the power to knock people out, but he's an outstanding boxer and defender when he's not engaging too much.

Bradley is a good boxer and very entertaining to watch. Hes been in some brawls and came out victorious almost all the time. Showed he has heart, a good chin and ready to fight anyone. Not sure how people can hate on that.

He also stated not too long ago that he would be willing to move straight up to 160lbs to make a matchup with GGG happen

People need to start giving Bradley some props, especially on his head movement and defense. The only times he ever gets popped with a decent shot is when he goes away from his gameplan and starts acting wild. Sure, it isn't smart, but at the same time, he has it in him to go out there and entertain. Dude doesn't stop working in the ring.

Now that would be a great fight with GGG.

Bradley apparently goes by a vegan diet. Dude keeps himself in great shape. His six pack is probably one of the more chiseled out of all the boxers.

All of those 4 guys would give him a good fight.

I'd watch him fight Floyd, but we already saw an inferior fighter dominate him, so....
