you do realize that Udrih is better than Felton and 50 year old Prigioni right?

Let's face it, Melo's time here is done. To sign him to a max contract and expect another FA to sign here puts us in the same situation we've already been in, but for another five years.

The Knicks need to get the most out of Melo now, and no, that's not on the court, but in his trade value. The Knicks have squandered so many draft picks over the years, and for what? For nothing. If I'm the Knicks, I trade Melo and Chandler and anyone with value and just stockpile draft picks to start anew and they can start right away in this years draft or the next. The Knicks have their 1st rounder next year, but none this year. Trying to get a decent pick this year is going to be tough, so if I'm the Knicks, I focus on trading Melo for a few draft picks, primarily the 2015 first round pick. The Knicks will be a shitty team again next year as all the bad contracts are finally expired and gone, and then they can start fresh by having at least two high draft picks including a Lottery pick which they've so desperately needed in the longest, plus all the cap room in the world to sign a FA or two.
Yeah, ideally, this is the way to go. But I dont expect them to move Melo or Chandler. They still have hopes of the playoffs, which is still very plausible since they are only 2 games out of 8th. But they need to secure 6 or higher to get out of the first, and its a uphill battle. Knicks will be lucky if they can pull off a sign and trade for Melo in the off season.

This organization is one of the worse run franchises in a big market ever!

He played well in spurts last season IIRC too.

i dont blame him, signing with the knicks should come with a warning sign, "your career may become a bust"

He couldn't get off the bench for Milwaukee last year or NYK this year. This means you aren't any good. Be happy you are still getting an NBA paycheck.

Did you know he was making 7.4MM last year?!?

He played well in Orlando, looks like he was uncomfortable with the Knicks.

Locker room could be a mess when any team plays below their standards
