Default Ramon Sessions opts out of contract

Ramon Sessions has decided not to exercise his player option with the Lakers, instead becoming an unrestricted free agent.
Sessions had to make a decision by June 20, so this comes right on cue. Sessions leaves approximately $4.5 million on the table to hit the free agent market, and it will be interesting to see what type of deal he is in search of at this point in his career. Sessions was exposed in the postseason, but he averaged 12.7 points and 6.2 assists on 47.9 percent shooting in 23 games with the Lakers. Just 26 years old, Sessions will likely be looking for a multi-year deal.

The Lakers need players that actually show up in the playoffs. After his performance this season, I'm not all that upset about this.

Just a talented point guard who doesn't get exposed like a sharking victim during pressure games. However, if they are really dumping Pau, then yes, they need an elite player.

It's embarrassing that the team that revolutionized that position with Magic hasn't had a decent one in fvcking ages.

I understand late first round picks aren't worth very much, but they have to be more valuable than renting Ramon Sessions for two months.

Cavs would laugh in their face. Irving alone is more valuable than Bynum due to Bynum's shitty 'tude.

Damn there goes our chances for a S/T with Mayo.

Our revolving door of backup PG's just won't cut it.

Lakers should try to sign A. Miller. Dude will be perfect there.
