Teams with .55% win record win 68% of their home games.
Your numbers are skewered by bad teams losing at home.

Very good NBA starter

Player movement.
Older players used to stick to one or two teams their whole career, so playing at home really was an advantage since they were more comfortable with the court, arena, arena procedures, city, fans, etc.
Also, flying is probably less stressful now with laptops and phones that can help you pass the time.

It matters a lot in game 7's. It's a damn near lock.
Who cares about regular season?

HCA is not about where you play games 1-6, but where you play game 7.
As a Laker fan, I am telling you right now, had game 7 in 2010 been in Boston, we would've lost.

Wouldn't really good teams also influence the numbers then? So the bad teams negate the good teams.

Except when the statistics say differently. Do you always spout meaningless platitudes?

Someone find the numbers for game 7 win/loss pct for home teams. I bet you it's close to 80%.
