He is just so crafty. Spurs drafting Ginobili and Parker made them a formidable team with Prime Tim Duncan.

Gonna be a terribly sad day when he goes (probably this season). He's given a lot to his team and the city.
I'm not getting this - greater than Duncan, Robinson, Gervin, Parker?

probably an easy choice to take him over 2 out of robinson/gervin/parker

it was the only possible shot Harden would take and he had no time to set it up any other way, Manu had all the time to prepare and go up for that knowing exactly where the ball would be. i think most players with the necessary height would or at least should make that block.

I would say NO choice. Surely you must be joking about Robinson. The only case might be over Parker - but while Parker was not as splashing/exciting, he was a tremendous work-horse for the Spurs, carried the team for several years and did exactly what Pop told him to do (which is more than I can say for Manu - who, imo, cost the Spurs at least 2 rings).
Gervin - 1st team All-NBA (5), 2nd team All-NBA (2), 2nd team All-ABA (2), All-Star (9), ABA All-Star (3), 4 time scoring champ
Parker - 2nd team All-NBA (3), 3rd team All-NBA (1), FMVP, All-Star (6)
Manu - 3rd team All-NBA (2), All-Star (2), Olympic Gold, 6th Man of the Year

I would argue that it's still impressive because Harden goes straight up like normal, underestimating Manu. I don't think a lot of players besides Manu would have the awareness of how easy that shot is to block and go for it. Many would be too scared to foul.

Re: Manu Ginobili Appreciation Thread
In the city of San Antonio Manu is the most beloved Spur, more than Duncan or Robinson.

So few players like Ginobili, coming off the bench yet always as a top contributor on title-contending teams.
