Re: 2017-2018 Utah Jazz season discussion... back to square one again
Jae needs to take better shots. He's shot better in the past. I like him though. They are going to need guys to improve their shooting next year. It's their biggest weakness.

It is at times frustrating to watch and a reminder of exactly how far the Jazz are away from truly competing for an NBA championship. As good as the Houston Rockets appear, it will surprise nobody in NBA circles if they are in turn equally manhandled by the defending champion Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference finals.
I'd be surprised if GS manhandles them. I don't think the Jazz are far away. They need shooters. Rather Lindsey will do what's necessary to fix that we'll see
[QUOTE]James Harden and Chris Paul are both capable of playing that lead role, as are Kevin Durant and Steph Curry for the Warriors. LeBron James is the ultimate superhero in the NBA, and without Kyrie Irving, he may not be able to recapture a fourth championship ring. If James can

The Jazz have made the all-small lineups unusable for Mike D'Antoni. The Rockets had either Clint Capela or Nene on the floor at all times on Sunday.
Capela will make other teams like GS have to play bigger if anything.
So why did they miss so many? The biggest reason was Capela, who blocked six shots and altered many more. Clearly, the Jazz are thinking about him while finishing, and it means different shots.
With better shooters he won't be able to control the paint as much. It's not rocket science
Certainly, his defense has altered Houston's approach on the offensive end. But when the Jazz have the ball, I think they can get more from Gobert. He doesn't need a post move, doesn't need a jump shot. But Gobert can get stronger in other aspects of the offensive game to help his team win.
And with better shooting he will get easy baskets like Capela

The best thing to come out of the playoffs might be Alec being able to get traded somewhere where he can do his thing and be appreciated again. Hasn't happened since Corbin was coach

[QUOTE]Utah has lived and died by the 3-point line. The Jazz missed 22 of their 29 3-point attempts, after having so much success from the 3-point line in Game 2, and the inability to score from the perimeter limited their ability to keep up or close the gap on the Rockets. While Paul and Harden were able to get points in the midrange game or at the free throw line, the Jazz weren
