Re: Lakers/Nets have offer on the table for Dwight
This doesn't make any sense. The Nets are basically bidding against themselves

If Magic were smart, they would take Nets package right this minute.

Re: Lakers/Nets have offer on the table for Dwight
We are in a weird world when Dwight Howard will NOT sign an extension to play in a huge media market, with perfect weather, with Hollywood opportunities galore, with the leagues most storied franchise, to play with one of the greatest players of all time in Kobe.
And yet, he wants to play in the cold, borough of Brooklyn (of all places, has he ever been to Brooklyn?), to be in the shadow of the New York Knicks his entire career, for what is traditionally been a joke of a franchise.
Is Dwight Howard that much of a child that he's letting Shaq's influence affect his decisions? Dude's got problems...........

Sit the dude at the bottom of the bench, but dont trade him.
Exactly Fisher has done tooooooo much for the Lakers. And the fact that he took a pay cut to resign with us in 2010 instead of going to the Heat makes me respect him even more.

This.... It's the Nets not the Knicks. Like singing with the Mets when you could be a Yankee.

The better deal is for Bynum....they know that and are pushing for it. But for some odd reason Dwight rather go to the second fiddle team of NY.

LOL at the Lakers having the audacity to offer the bullshit of Fisher and ARTEST's contract.
That's the single most remarkable thing I've ever read, if true.
"Bynum not enough for you?"

Well, that's not true. Mets have their own history, and Mets have a very loyal following here in NYC. It's about 50/50 split with fans in the city. Only nationally do Yankees have more fans.

If I'm Orlanod I would do that deal. We also get MWP off the cap also. Even though I like Bynum I have to take Dwight >>>>> over Bynum all day.

Both will start. Offense will always be a struggle, but with them on the court, you have a huge rebounding and defensive advantage. The Lakers would be heads and shoulders the best defensive team in the league.
Last I checked, rebounding and defense wins championships.
