i would bet allot of money on kevin love openning 2014-15 on the wolves

a) see if the wolves get off to a good start to the season ( possibly sway love to stay

b) see how andrew wiggins does ... why not wait till the trade deadline to see if wiggins is a bust or not

c) wait till other teams are willing to give up the most ( which is the trade deadline )

d) wait till the last minute because either way its a throw away season if it comes down to having to deal love for rookies

The trade value won't get higher at the deadline. The value the wolves will be offered will drop by then. If they want to maximize the value coming back they'll have to trade him before training camp

The media cannot force any sort of trade. They won't change what the Wolves will accept as a trade. They won't change where Love will be willing to re-sign. It's the media talking. Doesn't mean they are wrong though as I'm sure someone is talking.

It looks like this trade has been planned for quite some time now...

The two teams basically know that they will be the trade partners, and that the trade is going to involve Kevin Love - although presumably nothing is going to happen until Wiggins can be traded.

Other suitors are just there as leverage. The Celtics have officially given up on the chase, the Bulls aren't seriously in the conversation, and the Warriors (who were the best trade partner before LeBron came home) are starting to understand that the Wolves prefer rebuilding assets to packages involving Lee/Thompson. And rightly so... if the Wolves get Wiggins and Bennett, they can easily tank 2014-2015 and get another lottery pick. If they get good pieces from the Warriors, they could compete for a playoff spot, but that wouldn't be in their best long term interest.
