    Default Russell Westbrook named to All-NBA Second Team

    Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook was named to the All-NBA Second Team for the 2014-15 season, it was announced today by the NBA.

    Westbrook, who finished fourth in the 2014-15 Kia Most Valuable Player Award balloting, was named to the All-NBA Second Team for the fourth time in five seasons. This past year, he averaged an NBA-best 28.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.6 assists (fourth in NBA), 2.09 steals (second in NBA) and 34.4 minutes in 67 games (all starts) joining Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Oscar Robertson as the only players in NBA history to average 27-plus points, eight-plus assists and seven-plus rebounds in a single season.

    This past year, the guard registered new career-highs in points (54), rebounds (15) and assists (17). In addition, he recorded 11 triple-doubles, which represented the highest single-season total since Jason Kidd had 13 during the 2007-08 season.
