Default Could Detroit Pistons top Pacers in Central Division?

Could the Pistons finish ahead of the Pacers in the Central Division?

Going into the off-season such a thought would be considered ridiculous since the Pacers are coming off back-to-back appearances in the Eastern Conference finals and the Pistons have been the Pistons.

But after small forward Paul George

^^ haha major spoiler alert re the Bulls! But I think the OP was just referring to finishing above the Pacers n the central, not finishing atop the central period...

I fully expect the Pistons to finish higher than the Pacers this year...

I feel bad for the Pacers. In the long run this might help them though. If they're really bad they're just going to add a good draft pick to a very good team. Right now I'd say they're a player away from really competing with the Bulls and Cavaliers too (and that's with a healthy Paul George). The Pistons should be ahead of the Pacers and Bucks. That's still not saying much. They're a mediocre team. The worst place in the NBA to be.........
