I feel you, I mean really doe, most kids regardless of size don't want to be Tim Duncan.

That's why this day in age there is more "stretch" big men than ever.

EVERYBODY WANTS TO DRIBBLE, RUN, SHOOT FROM 3, AND DUNK ON SOMEBODY.

If kids even took away how Duncan uses a backboard, they would instantly be a better player.

You would prefer to watch a player perform at a far inferior quality, just so you can watch him tomahawk dunk every 3 quarters.

When Duncan dunks he don't bring oohs and ahhs and what else you have after that? Nothing but practice layups and fundamental moves that will motivate snore fests just like that.

Kids don't want to be Duncan because he's boring to them. I've been around many basketball players and not one of them wants to be Duncan. He's not flashy. Kids want to be somebody with amazing flashy moves. Most kids want to be Jordan basically. Sadly there's not a lot of appeal for quiet hardworking fundamentals. Not to say every kid is like this.

I also think it's marketed that way. How often do you see Duncan in commercials compared to Jordan, LeBron, Kobe, Durant, ect.?

Yea I also see it as school. Kids who are kool gets the most attention becoming popular and shit while the nerds get to no love and never gets the fine girls with big fluffy titties. Tim duncan is in that nerd clique.

If I was allowed to rep you I would (apparently you need like 8 million posts to even be able to look at your own profile here......).

When I first say him at Wake Forest I tried to play like him. Mainly fell in love with his bank shots he used to do all the time.

Simply answer is that he's a big man and his style is boring to the average hooper.

I don't think he means who kids these days play like, but more of who the kids strive to become or be a #1 fan of.

Of course there are players that play like Andre Miller or even Duncan, but those players probably didn't grow up saying, "I want to play like Andre Miller."

The #1 and #2 reasons to all of this is flashy play and media hype.

he is probably the most original superstar of all time, even if they wanted not see how they could emulate his game, and has other things (not to draw attention, not to create problems, etc, and as said, the guy is basically a robot, only play basketball and improve your game every time)
