are you kidding? he's one of the most fluid power forwards of all-time. he's just doesn't like contact.

in fact I think Zach Randolph is the sole reason he doesn't wanna bang anymore

This. People are criticizing Blake but ultimately dunks do wear on your body over time. Blake has already put in his work, he has had some great dunks.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCBwvck1dxU this dunk mix encapsulates this whole point

Sure him shooting more jumpers isn't as effective as if he played hard in the post right now. He might be able to grind out a few more points and another rebound or two. But that wears you down, and the work is going to pay off in 5 years, or even 10 years from now. He will be in the running for MVP every year for the next 5 years I bet.

This is a guy who people used to shit on saying he was just a dunker with no skills. But the guy has made major strides in his game every year, has the ability to handle and go coast to coast, and is a good passer. And at only 25? This is a guy who's averaging 21/10 and almost 4 assists for his career, and has at least a decade left in the league.

If you don't see how good Blake is, I have to question your ability to evaluate basketball talent.

I don't care if he dunks. Just stop taking so many jumpers early in the shot clock.

    Great read.

It's incredibly hard to develop a new skill in NBA, it took Jason Kidd years to have a reliable jumper and Blake is doing a god damn job at it.
