Default Kevin Durant-Carmelo Anthony VERY SIMILIARfantasized numbers

    Durant 27 ppg
    Melo 24 ppg

    Durant 7 rebounds per game
    Melo 6.6 rebounds per game

    Durant 3.7 assists per game
    Melo 3.2 assists per game

Keep in mind that Melo never had the kind of surrounding cast that Durant had. Has Melo ever had a player like Westbrook in his prime? Melo had Billups/AI but WAY PAST THEIR PRIMES.

People forget, but when Melo was in Denver he was considered top 5

It goes beyond numbers... Melo's intangibles are piss poor. He's a terrible excuse of a leader/competitor. Nobody takes fat melo seriously... he's a career loser.

    Melo fans deserve no respect.

Is Durant a better leader/competitor? He jumped ship to the team that bounced him in the playoffs.

If Melo is Durant-level good, and we couple that with Rose calling NYK a superteam, then I don't know how LeBron is ever gonna survive the East with all this going on in the Mecca.

Durant is just point-blank more physically gifted and talented than Melo.

6'11 with handles and can slash/shoot.

Durant is master of the flop and throw his arms into a player to create contact.

Even without the rip-through move, Durant is still one of the best shooters in the league.

    Durant career 48.3 fg%
    Melo career 45.3 fg%

VERY similar numbers, people acting as if Durant is a hof and melo is a rotational player. SMH

3% gap is FAR from negligible. Melo's a good player but Durant is definitely a cut above him. That being said I can't imagine Melo ever doing something as downright COWARDLY as what we just witnessed from FT35.

3% isn't a big deal considering the fact that Melo has had ABSOLUTELY NO HELP the last 3 years.

There's really nothing Carmelo does better than Durant except offensive rebounding. Durant fg% is rising while Melo's is gonna end up around 44-46%. Durant is definitely a notch above him.

Durant is simply the better player.

Carmelo gets called overrated and a "loser" so often that he may be actually be underrated, he is indeed a terrific scorer, solid rebounder and passer, but Durant is superior in just about every aspect of the game.

please point to the statistical category that makes him 'superior'. Btw you know what he's younger than Melo, and Melo is on the decline. This thread was in reference to the entirety of their careers. Thanks for playing pumpkin. Run along now sunshine.

Melo is underrated at this point in his career, but the comparison isn't valid.

Just watch the game. It is obvious Durant is better. They could go on and average the same numbers for the rest of their careers, and it would still be obvious. Much like the Kobe/Bron comparison. I don't get how someone can watch them both play and not come to the conclusion that Bron is better.

Get the **** out my face with that shit...Melo was never close to as good as Durant in 2014.
