The world will frame this Game 7 outcome as something only the Clippers could do, crumbling with a home-court opportunity to advance. That's unfair to the Jazz, and so is the suggestion that the Clippers would have won this series with a healthy Blake Griffin.
Jazz looked better with or without Griffin. Rivers may have made a difference early on though. But the Jazz are the last team to look to for sympathy!

Game 7 was another moment that should help persuade Hayward to stay for more than just another playoff round.
    I'd use could not should

"I was struggling a lot this season with injuries and my teammates had to hold it down for me while I was out," Favors said later. "I felt like I owed them, especially in this game."

Consider the bill paid in full.
He's barely started to pay it

"He's different than Rudy," Snyder said. "He's a different style of player, and I think some of who he was tonight was a good fit for what we needed."

Where Gobert would roll to the rim and look for lobs, Favors' short-rolls led to open free-throw line jumpers. Where Gobert might sag back in pick-and-roll defense to protect the rim, Favors was asked to push up on the ball handler, helping hold L.A.'s Chris Paul to his lowest scoring total of the series.
Favors was not hitting those shots and the game plan as far as going out on the pick and roll was the same with Rudy. Rudy is just better at doing that and getting back to the rim

"Not having Blake (Griffin) obviously is a major wound when you take your best scorer, your second-best rebounder, your second-best passer off a team, but give Utah credit.
Jazz were missing their 2 best players in games. Boo Hoo!

The Jazz proved 2 things this year
    1) Aquire proven vets (Iso Joe,Hill & Diaw) if you're serious about winning.
    2) If you stay young=losing
already known facts. Why it took the jazz so long to figure out is the question
