Default James Harden and Demar Derozan should thank God everyday there is no hand-checking

These 2 players benefit the most they are damn near unguardable in todays game.Only time they play bad is in the playoffs when they psych themselves out.I see why people say 1980's Jordan would score 60 if he played in a game now.

    UPDATE
Just watch this video its disgusting how easy it is for him 2 score without being able to touch him.He is so fast he just blows by everyone or gets a wide open mid range. You put a short person on him he just post up or shoots right over them.Honestly idk how he doesn't avg 30 a game.

He is so fking quick and his handles are good enough thats its almost impossible to guard him just look how easy he scores on Parson in 1 of the 1st couple highlights

1980's Jordan would go bonkers vs a defense where everyone stays home + no handchecking

And every other scoring SG in the league should thank God for James Harden.

And Iverson should curse his luck that he didn't get to play in this era of the NBA.

The year handchecking went away, there was a large jump in scoring that never went away. Handchecking was not a good defensive tool, as offensive players could also legally slap your hand away and then you were out of position.

How exactly is James Harden unguardable? He's gotten his ass handed to him the past 3 playoff series he's been in.

When you say God you mean Jordan right? He was that major one that pushed for no hand-checking.

How does either guy look unguardable ?

They both looked vulnerable at times trying to score during the playoffs.

It's not him being "psyched out". He's just not the player everyone seems to think he is. I swear some little Kenyan boy dies every time ESPN and its bullshit hype machine spews the "killer instinct" and "assassin's mentality" garbage about Harden. Makes me sick to my stomach.

He's just not capable of scoring in the variety of ways necessary to be a consistently successful scorer in the playoffs. Nor does he have the insane athleticism guys like Lebron had back when he didn't have a strong jumper and post game. Harden is basically fucked when the bright lights come on and the refs hold the whistle. Defenses tighten up, players ramp up the intensity, and fouls are harder to come by. His stupid transition 3s, flops at the rim, step backs, etc are so overplayed that every team with a shred of intelligence knows how to game plan for him. Hence his consistent bedwetting in the playoffs since the 2012 Finals.

And even if it was him being "psyched out", why should we just ignore that? Unguardable players don't constantly psych themselves out in the playoffs. If he's getting embarrassed 3 years in a row in the postseason, he's not unguardable.

Actually it's Lebron who should thank the league. Dude would get locked up at the 3pt line. You take that 3pt shot away and you only have his PnR drive to the rim left.

Wow. You really don't think about much else during your days do you? A thread about handchecking and shooting guards, talking about mainly Harden and current rules for calling fouls...and the first thing that comes into your mind to post is? A player that has nothing to do with the thread on a concept that's not at all what's being discussed either.

Oh well, continue on I guess if it makes you feel better
