Lebron put up 27/6/8 on 48%TS in that series against the Celtics

Kobe put up 26/5/5 on 50.5% TS in his series against the Celtics

Lebron averaged a little over 5 turnovers per game.
Kobe averaged 4 turnovers per game.

Was it really that clear?

21/6/13 with 5 turnovers on 7-20 shooting and team wins by 11

Yes...it was. Between the better supporting cast and Phil Jackson coaching...the difference in team strength was clear.

Also, Lebron doesn't get near enough credit for his defense in 08 on that team...he improved and already elite defense in the playoffs while on the floor.(2.5 points better per 100 possessions)

Kobe's team actually got slightly better defensively when he was on the bench (2.1 points better per 100 possessions)

The only real difference in help was second option strength and that flew out the window when Pau could no longer deal with KG's intensity and was getting knocked off his spots and bullied.


Theres a reason Lebron played like shit.. worse efficiency and more turnovers.. but his team stretched the series out to 7. LA's help could only get it to 6 and Kobe wasnt even playing worse than bron or anything. Its only logical to assume given that info that Lebron had more help for that specific series.

KD had a much better supporting cast and hasn't faced a defense in the playoffs like those late 00's Celtics teams. KD is a better scorer and certainly played well in the finals though. And I don't think brons first finals should be a knock on him tbh, it was still a pretty good run to get his team to the finals in the first place, even though the east was weak.

Even with how Gasol played...he's still infinitely more valuable than Delonte West or Big Z shooting sub 50% TS.

Odom was better than anyone on the Cavs as well.

Honestly, if not for the huge collapse at home...the Lakers get to 7 and potentially win that series.

That is kind of forgotten...the Lakers should have at the very least gotten it to 7 even with how it went down. And if we are railing on Lebron...can't forgive Kobe for coming up so small in that do or die game essentially.
