Default What if we have a Brooklyn vs Atlanta ECF?

    This isn't unrealistic.
Atlanta could sweep Indiana then win in a tough series vs Bulls.
Miami will beat Bobcats but they are 0-4 vs Nets this year.
    Will NBA refball allow this?

The NBA would literally have their referees start shooting poison darts into the players of whoever went up against Miami before they'd allow this to happen.

That would suck for the business, but that's why the games are played out.

Would also be a nice reality check for anyone(especially journalists) that say

"x team absolutely has no chance against y team"

And then back it up with no paritcular thought out reasons, like team strategy, matchups, injuries.

Nope just trust them, they know what they're talking about.

    Hawks are mediocre at best.
The win today is reflects more on this unprecedented 2nd half collapse of hte Pacers which seems to be more due to internal strife so toxic that none of us could see it coming, and isn't a true testament to the level of basketball the Pacers could, or the level Atlanta could against these Pacers.
That being said, Atlanta could very well advance, but no way would they ever win the second round of the playoffs against decent teams that would be feeling extremely fortunate to play the 8 seed that knocked off the more physical 1 seed, and have home court against the Hawks.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Nets v Atlanta ECF or even a Toronto v Atlanta ECF

I think this too. This is why Refs would do anything to make OKC win over Memphis as Memphis vs Spurs would bring low ratings.
I think every knowledgeable fan knows by now that timberwolves and hawks are the real title contenders but timberwolves already got fcked and hawks would get fcked now by the refs or in next round.

I said it before the playoffs began that Atlanta could get to the ECF. This series vs the Pacers more than winnable, we duck the Heat in round 2 and play another winnable series. Could you imagine the Hawks first ECF appearance being with this roster?

Yep. Just like last year when everyone thought that Stern was rigging it for a NYC-Miami ECF, then allowing the Pacers to shoot 200 more free throws than than the Heat/Knicks combined.
